A note from Nick, founder of First Time Visiting LLC:

I was inspired to create First Time Visiting after moving to New Orleans from California. Turned out, not many of my friends had ever been to Louisiana and were keen to visit. My first itinerary was fairly basic, written in an email to a buddy planning a trip a couple months after I moved away. By the time Mardi Gras rolled around in 2016, I'd hosted numerous groups, had a much better lay of the land, and had developed a pretty solid itinerary for seeing New Orleans for the first time. Realizing this passion for sharing my new home, travel, writing, and planning, I decided to start a website where my friends and I could share our travel advice and experiences with anyone planning their own trips.
