The Top 4 Local Coffee Shops in Savannah
Writing and Photography by Ashley Beschell of Beschell Photography.
If you’re anything like me, the first thing you do on your travel excursions, or really any morning, is locate caffeine… ASAP. To help you get the best fix possible, and because you can get Starbucks anywhere, I’ve put together a list of my top 4 local coffee shops in the historic district of downtown Savannah.
This List
1. The Mirabelle Suites and Cafe
2. The Collin's Quarter Walk-Up Window

1. The Mirabelle Suites & Cafe
The Mirabelle Suites and Cafe is tied with the Collin’s Quarter as my favorite Savannah coffee shop. It has a charming four suite inn upstairs and lovely cafe downstairs. The cafe serves an excellent variety of lattes, and if you’re in the mood for something sweet, I recommend you try their cinnamon bun latte! Also, if you’re feeling hungry, it’s a well kept secret that they offer one of the best breakfasts in town.
Insider Tip: Try their waffles. Seriously....so good!
2. The Collin’s Quarter Walk-Up Window
Collin’s Quarter is not only my other favorite coffee spot, but it's also, hands down, the BEST brunch spot in Savannah. Conveniently, this Australian restaurant has a walk up window to order your coffee to-go. The Collin’s Quarter also serves the widest selection of brew options (including cold drip!) and offers fantastic flavors, such as their new Lavender Mocha.
My personal favorites - the caramel latte or a simple cup of black English Breakfast tea. Oh! And their mimosas. The drunken berry is a MUST. You won’t regret it.
3. The Coffee Fox
The Coffee Fox (and sister cafe, the Foxy Loxy) have THE best straight black coffee, for those times when you’re just not kidding around. And! They serve PERC, a locally roasted Savannah coffee. The great rustic meets eclectic atmosphere is a welcomed bonus. Be sure to check out their ceiling art while you are there!
4. The Paris Market
The Paris Market is a beautiful, quaint coffee shop set inside a whimsical Parisian style home store (which you must check out while you’re there- don’t forget the downstairs, too). As for their drinks, I’m a fan of the vanilla latte (with soy). The coffee shop also has a wide selection of delicious macarons to satisfy your sweet tooth!
